Falcon2 22W Laser Engraver and Cutter

This laser has already helped me increase the value of my woodworking projects by being able to provide my clients with personalized projects. It’s also helped me create custom lighting a lot faster than I was able to before with the scroll saw. By far, my new favorite shop tool!

Being beginners in the laser engraver/cutter world we found these materials to be very helpful both to assess what we would actually need for future projects but also for testing our cutter. The materials are good and while bulk buying any of them would be cheaper, this pack, at under 10 represents a minimal investment for someone starting out. If you are starting out and wondering Why? you would want a starter set the answer is, to find out if you engraver/cutter is working properly when it arrives. Ours was not and had to be returned. We are awaiting our next, upgraded one, and will get another sample pack when it arrives to test it before we start doing our projects on it. Good price and just a common sense buy.

I am very pleased with this purchase. It is a great budget engraver. I haven't used the rotary attachment as I haven't had the need. I use this to cut and engrave veneer for marquetry and it does a great job. It does require some assembly, like 20 minutes. I have owned 3D printers from Creality, but this is my first laser engraver. I am having a lot of fun with this product and would recommend it to anyone that is considering it.

If you are going to use it on wood, you will probably want to buy the enclosure, as it can give off smoke. With the enclosure, you can redirect smoke out the window. Also, I got the print bed, because it doesn't come with one. And I purchased the air assist which can help keep it cool to avoid scorching. Fortunately, the addons were pretty affordable.

One thing to note that did not immediately occur to me, is that if you find it is not cutting all the way through the wood and you already have it set to 100% power, you can lower the speed setting and it will cut more.
